Door of Hope

This last one was taken yesterday on my first day of counselling. It’s a small place run inside a church, they have a sliding scale system which means I’ll be charged only $60 a session – sweet relief! When that first session wrapped up, I felt as though I was right smack in the midst of starting something new. Like the previous six, seven, eight months (possibly many, many years) were all part of one ridiculously overwrought, long European art film and this is the opening scene of the more hopeful follow-up. Assuming all goes well and I do succeed in therapy, as well as the employment program I’ve applied for, I think there’s greener pastures over yonder. Feeling pretty good about it; good enough to talk like I’m in something by Cormac McCarthy.
